Success Story: Griffin Willis

Journey to Meaningful Employment

Work for Warriors Georgia is proud to highlight the success of Griffin Willis, a dedicated member of the Georgia Air National Guard who recently transitioned into a civilian role as a Quality Control Specialist with SECO ECO Plastic.

After returning home from a combat deployment, Griffin began searching for employment that aligned with his mechanical engineering background. His First Sergeant connected him with Work for Warriors Georgia, and from the moment EC Sam reached out, Griffin felt supported. The same-day response and consistent bi-weekly check-ins gave him confidence that someone was genuinely invested in his success.

Throughout his journey, Griffin appreciated the clarity and commitment Sam brought to the process. He shared that it quickly became evident that Sam’s mission was to help service members gain meaningful employment. This support played a significant role in helping Griffin move forward with confidence and secure a position that matches his skills and goals.

Now thriving in his new role, Griffin expressed excitement about the alignment between his career and educational background. He encourages other service members beginning their employment search to “take ownership and don’t take a day off,” a piece of advice he carried with him through his transition.

Griffin’s story reflects the strength, perseverance, and dedication of Georgia’s military community—and Work for Warriors Georgia is honored to be part of his journey.
